The Acting President NULGE Taraba State chapter has affirmed the statement of Governor Darius Ishaku that he was up-to-date in salaries payment. He made this statement when he led a team of his executives to present the fact to the Permanent Secretary Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alh. Bello Yero.
Alh. Bello Yero while addressing the NULGE delegation said he was indeed overwhelmed by the act of the union as since inception of the Darius administration, they had not unnecessarily gone striking over issues.
Bello assured them that the two months arrears been owed by the government would be paid because the Governor was committed to making sure he settles that.
Yero said under his watch, he would do his best in making sure that the union operates effectively and to also put the interest of the people first.
The permanent Secretary assured them of building a total bridge of connection between them and the government saying Governor Ishaku is doing everything possible to make sure that no sector in the state slims over it’s basics.
He urged them to keep supporting the government in their own way because “it is our collective efforts to build a Taraba of our dream” .
Yero appealed to the NULGE to communicate their branches in the entire 16 Local Government Areas to mobilise and give Governor Darius Ishaku their votes in 2019.
He thank the newly appointed Acting President of NULGE and wished him a successful tenure.
The Acting President NULGE while speaking said they had made their findings and realised that Taraba state under the leadership of Governor Darius had fulfilled it promises on salaries matter.
He went further to say that since the inception of this administration, the NULGE had never gone on the street to protest for any reason or strike for reasons of Salaries or negligence of staff welfare. He said they would work in harmony with the State Government to make sure that the relationship never goes soar. He thanked the Governor for his support and concern on the union and promised to support the government to succeed
Mean while, a group known as JEFTA from Jalingo has also described the Darius led administration as the best youth friendly Government. The Chairman made this statement briefly after the affirmation of the NULGE on the State Government.
They promised to work round The clock to deliver Darius and PDP in Taraba come 2019.
In the same vein, the Jalingo Football Association pledged their unalloyed loyalty and support for Darius come 2019. The Chairman of the association said the only way of paying him back for all his good deeds especially in Jalingo LG is by voting him for continuity in 2019
