The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Sylvanus Giwa has debunked the notion that government is not proactive over the renewed crisis in some parts of the state.

Sylvanus Giwa made the remarks in a Press Briefing with the press crew Government House, Jalingo.

He said Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku is on top of the issue and is working assiduously to ensure total restoration of peace to the area.

The SSA stated that Government is collaborating very seriously to track down perpetrators of the crisis and warned those fueling the crisis to desist forth with and choose the path of peace or face the full wrath of the law.

Sylvanus Giwa emphasized that government cannot allow disgruntled elements to destabilize the relative peace being enjoyed by Tarabans for their selfish and parochial interest.

He advised people living around and within the affected areas to co-operate with security agencies and government officials to track down suspected hoodlums.

The SSA maintained that the remarkable efforts put in place on making available fertilizers, seedlings and other farm implements by the governor of the state is an indication that farmers are sure of bumper harvest.

Sylvanus stressed that the staff audit initiated by the governor in the education sector is also yielding huge results.
