In an effort to rid Taraba state of bandits and criminal elements, His Excellency, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku, The Executive Governor of Taraba State attended the flag off of Operation Ayem Akpatuma II (Cat race) in Taraba State at Kofai Amadu village, Takum LGA.
The governor who was ably represented by his deputy Engr. Haruna Manu disclosed that Operation Ayem Akpatuma II which is in collaboration with other sister paramilitary organizations is aimed at curbing the security threat of kidnapping, cattle rustling and communal crisis amongst others in the state.
“We have invested so much into security in the state and we will continue to demonstrate the political will and determination towards ensuring that Taraba state is rid of crimes and that criminality is kept at the barest minimum.”
Similarly, the Deputy Governor was part of the medical outreach program in Kofai Amadu Village organized by the military in collaboration with the state ministry of health to give free medical assistance to the Internally displaced persons of the community.
Engr. Manu call on Tarabans and Nigerians at large to live in peace with one another because in the absence of peace no meaningful development can thrive.
“Let’s tolerate, respect and accommodate one another irrespective of tribal, religious, ethnic or sentimental affiliation.”
